Pizza dough

Ingredients (for 2 medium pizzas):

  • 500 g flour (type 500 or pizza flour “00”)
  • 300 ml lukewarm water
  • 1/2 cube of yeast (20 g) or 1 sachet of dry yeast
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Procedure:

  • Dissolve the yeast and sugar in lukewarm water, leave for 5–10 minutes to foam.
  • Add flour, salt and oil.
  • Knead a smooth dough and knead it for 5–10 minutes.
  • Let rise, covered (1–2 hours) until doubled in volume.
  • Roll out on a floured surface into a baking dish shape.

Stuffing (optional)

Base: mozzarella (or cheese of choice)

Accessories: ham, prosciutto, mushrooms, peppers, olives, arugula
