Not so long ago, I often found myself looking at my bill at the end of the month and thinking, “I failed again… Where did I go wrong?” And guess what? It wasn’t just a money problem. It was a knowledge problem. No one taught me how to budget, what interest meant, how to save wisely. I just did it my way – and I made mistakes many times.
Then I discovered financial literacy. And truly – this knowledge can change your life.
When you understand money, your life changes.
One day I said to myself: I've had enough of feeling helpless. I signed up for adult education on finances. And after the first meeting I felt relief. Suddenly I understood things that had previously seemed like pure Spanish nonsense. No more "I don't know how I'm going to survive until my paycheck", but finally: "I know where my money is going and how I can use it better."
This was the right one for me. feeling of control. And with it came confidence. It wasn't about perfection, but it was about finally I am no longer in the red..
Why would I recommend you financial education?
From a pure heart. Because I know how important it is. Because I know it's never too late. And because I know that money knowledge is not just for "accountants and bankers." It's for me. For you. For all of us.
Here are some reasons why I'm grateful I took this step:
- ✅ Because knowledge about money reduces stressNo more that constant anxious thinking in my head.
- ✅ Because it helps me plan for a safer future – even if the future is unpredictable.
- ✅ Because now I make better decisions. – for myself and for my children.
- ✅ Because I learned to say no those reckless purchases that previously gave me no peace.
- ✅ Because I am in education met people who want the same thing - to live better, more consciously, more responsibly.
If you've ever found yourself in a similar situation to mine, don't wait. Find an adult program, start with the basics, ask questions, read, research. Financial literacy won't just give you better numbers in your bank account. It will give you peace, freedom and strength.
And you deserve it.
